Position: Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Job Type: Full or part time, permanent

Salary: Up to approx £60,000 per annum

Location: Marlow

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work on either a full or part time, permanent basis.

In this Advanced Nurse Practitioner position, you would be joining a positive, well-organised and friendly practice.

Duties will include;

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with an undifferentiated diagnosis
  • Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly
  • Assessment, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate interventions/treatments for patients with complex needs
  • Proactively identify, diagnose and manage treatment plans for patients at risk of developing a long-term condition (as appropriate)
  • Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating both drug and non-drug-based treatment methods into a management plan
  • Prescribe and review medication (Inclusive of repeat prescriptions) for therapeutic effectiveness, within own professional scope of practice and appropriate to patient needs, in accordance with national and local guidelines, protocols and formulary.
  • Provide information and advice on prescribed or over-the-counter medication regimens, including side-effects and interactions
  • Work with patients in order to support compliance with and adherence to prescribed treatments
  • Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care
  • Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles, and apply principles of self-care

Requirements:

  • Ideally you will have a MSc degree or equivalent
  • Prescriber Qualification
  • Primary Care Experience
  • Sound knowledge of primary care principles, evidence-based practice, and clinical guidelines.
  • Proficiency in conducting physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and developing appropriate care plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions within your scope of practice.
