My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join their dynamic team at a reputable GP surgery in London City Centre.

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, managing acute and chronic conditions, and promoting health and well-being within the community. Advanced Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive and evidence-based care to patients of all ages, following clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Perform initial assessments, diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, and prescribe appropriate treatment plans.
  • Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Independently assess and manage minor injuries and illnesses, providing prompt and effective treatment.
  • Offer health promotion and preventive care services, including vaccinations, health screenings, and lifestyle counseling.
  • Provide support and education to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their conditions, treatments, and self-care measures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and specialists, to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all patient encounters and interventions in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Actively participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Ideally you will have a MSc degree or equivalent
  • Prescriber Qualification
  • Primary Care Experience
  • Sound knowledge of primary care principles, evidence-based practice, and clinical guidelines.
  • Proficiency in conducting physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and developing appropriate care plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions within your scope of practice.

You will be working on a permanent basis, either full time or part time. They are offering a competetitve salary of approx £65,000 per annum, depending on experience along with the NHS pension, 5 weeks annual leave, study days, CPD, all of which are negotiable.
